Partnerships Director – £65,000 + 10% bonus + generous benefits

Are you interested in re-inventing the way that we educate and inspire our young people in an environment where you can embrace risk and try new ideas? If you’re not prepared to fail, we believe that you’ll never really succeed.

By working with, investing in and developing our partners, such as FrontLine, Place2Be and City Year, and with the support of our core funders, such as Virgin and SoftBank, we are supporting visionaries who can revolutionise education, oracy and inspiration instead of creating incremental change. The world is changing around our young people too quickly for us to do anything else.

Big Change is a movement of leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and activists who are committed to changing the way we ensure a successful future for all the UK’s children. Be it through their own personal philanthropy, taking part in the Virgin Strive Challenge to test their metal and raise millions for the cause, or using their expertise to guide our investments and strategic direction, they are at the beating heart of our transformation engine.

Having grown 750% in the last 5 years, we are now looking for a talented Partnerships Director to join our team and help us build the corporate and philanthropic relationships within our network that will be allow us to continue the growth trajectory that we’re on.

The members of our movement are highly engaged, knowledgeable about the cause and eager to contribute. We are looking for someone that can engage with donors and corporates at the highest level, employing the tact, professionalism and guile necessary to succeed within personality led fundraising.

What you will be doing

This role will be building on the incredible fundraising success we have had to date, both building and developing relationships within our existing network and putting in place the systems and processes necessary to capitalise on our incredible network as it continues to grow.

You will be responsible for forging relationships with visionaries at the highest level, individuals who have a clear idea of the impact they want to have on the UK’s youth and have the capacity to give 6-figure sums to make it happen. Equally, you will be engaging with corporates who want to make strategic investments and contributions to Big Change’s work outside the traditional sphere of corporate giving.

Alongside this, you will be an integral part of Big Change’s SMT and will provide strategic input into the future direction and growth plans of the organisation.

What we’re looking for

There are plenty of things you’ll need to succeed in this role, but the below are the ones that are most important to us:

  • You will have experience of securing significant gifts from HNWIs.
  • You will have experience of building strategic partnerships.
  • You will have experience of building robust systems to support fundraising.
  • You will have previous success in building long-term, adaptable fundraising strategies.
  • You will be able to demonstrate previous leadership success within fundraising teams that exceeded budget and expectation.

What we can offer you

Big Change is people first organisation, we hire people that make us brilliant and we treat them brilliantly in return. When you join our movement, you will enjoy the following benefits:

  • 10% performance related bonus
  • Pension scheme, 5% matched
  • Unlimited annual leave
  • Flexible working
  • Monthly phone allowance
  • Generous P/Maternity policies, as well as Parental leave
  • Yearly cost-of-living adjustments
  • Access to Virgin Tribe
  • Cycle to Work and Season Ticket Loan schemes
  • Volunteer days
  • L&D opportunities

If you like the sound of what you’ve read, think that you could be successful in the role and are interested in joining the team, we would love to hear from you.
